Brigitte Bargetz

Brigitte Bargetz works since 2013 as university assistant (post doc) at the Institute for Political Science of the University in Vienna, as leader of the project „Critical Science Literacy“ and co-editor of the feminist magazine Femina Politica. She studied political science and history at the universities of Vienna and Aix-Marseille (France) and graduated 2011 at the University of Vienna. Her dissertation about a critical theory of the everyday lifewas part of the interdisciplinary project „Gender an der Schnittstelle von Öffentlichkeit und Privatheit. Spätmoderne Transformationen“ (ÖAW, DOC team) and was distinguished with the Award of Excellence (2011) of the austrian federal ministry for science and research. In her habilitation project she focuses on radical-democratic theories of the political, debates about „affective“ and „material turn“ as well as feminist, queer and postcolonial rudiments of politic and feeling.
