Justin Winkler is geographer and musicologist. He has graduated on soundscapes and has been, during the 1990s, director of the Swiss Folksong Archives, of research programmes on singing, listening, and drinking. Today, he teaches qualitative methodologies and history of ideas, as well as topics that involve sense-related methodologies: “mobile methods”, soundscapes, traffic congestion, night, everyday aesthetics, walking, times and rhythms. He translates scientific texts and produces programmes for independent radio.
