Manfred Neuwirth was born in 1954 in Vienna, studied journalism, computer science and history. He works as director, producer, cameraman and media artist in films, videos, sounds and installations. 1978 he took part in founding the non commercial videostudio Medienwerkstatt Wien, besides he is president of loop media and teaches at the Universitity of Linz. He lives and works in Kritzendorf.
