Patrizia Oliva is musician, singer and electroacustic improviser, using mainly the voice as an instrument, in addition to various electronic instruments as electronic devices, fieldrecordings, tapes and no computer. Lately she start to play the chinese flute bawu. Her research is aimed at a redefinition of contemporary solo singer; her performance is also gestural and transcendental. She works on radical and experimental music and the research is not standardized. Improvising is not no-composition. She actually plays in many different projects as Gamra, Camusi, on duo with Alessandra Novaga and Tai-No Orchestra. She has played with many musicians, among other with Gino Robair, Stefano Giust, Pamelia Kurstin, Edoardo Marraffa, Tommy Greenwood, Martin Mayes, Tristan Honsinger Linda Sharrock, Anthea Caddy, Liz Albee, Alessandro Bosetti.
