Elisabeth Flunger
Elisabeth Flunger, born in Bozen (Italy), studied musicology, ethnology, classic drums and composition and lives in Vienna. 2005-2016 she lived in Luxenburg, where she among others worked together with the woman archive CID about gender.
As a drummer for contemporary music she worked as soloist as well as in different ensembles. As improvising musician she played together with musicians like Cordula Bösze, Karlheinz Essl, Clementine Gasser, Katharina Klement, Hannes Löschel, Pia Palme, Jorge Sanchez-Chiong, and lot more. Moreover she works as musician, composer and performer in theater and dancing productions. Within the context of conciliatory orijects for contemporary music she is doing seminaries for musicians and music teachers and workshops with children and adults. Her favorite instrument is a gathering of metal objects, that she uses in concerts, room installations and performances. For that apparatus she developed special playing techniques and composed a number of solo pieces.
