Bernd Lintermann

Bernd Lintermann works as a research associate at the ZKM | Hertz-Lab in Karlsruhe. As a media artist and researcher, he deals with interactive and generative systems, immersive spaces, augmented and virtual reality. His developments are used in scientific, artistic and commercial contexts and his work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Ars Electronica Centre in Linz, Guangdong Museum of Art in China and the National Gallery of Scotland. He has numerous scientific publications, including at SIGGRAPH, and is co-founder of the company Greenworks, which distributes his software Xfrog, which was nominated for a Scientific Achievement Award by the Academy of Motion Pictures in 2015. From 2005 to 2011 he was Head of the Institute for Visual Media at the ZKM, from 2006 to 2015 Professor at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design and from 2012 to 2023 Adjunct Professor at the School of Creative Media at City University, Hong Kong.
