Christine Winkler, born in 1972, Hart/Graz, Austria. From 1987 to 1992 she attended Secondary College, Ortweinschule Graz and 1999-2001 she has been educated at Master class for Arts and Composition (with focus on painting) in Graz. In 2002 she received the City of Graz Sponsorship Award for Photography, in 2011 she obtained the Austrian State Scholarship for Photography. Since 2001 she participates in numerous exhibition-projects. Her work is also mentioned in several publications. About her work method the artist herself says:

“I am working with that material, which is closest to me. Pictures taken out of and from live. The attempt of a selection. In a closely view.”
