Danil Siabro

Fascinated by historical, cinematic, fictional, playful and horizontal aspects of technology, Siabro explores "tools" from different perspectives and likes to explore them in a larger context with a good dose of humour. His work, often in collaboration with other artists, results in videos, installations and audiovisual performances, experimenting with different new media and technologies and exploring the lines of connection between the digital and real worlds - a reality that is becoming thinner by the day. Siabro has collaborated with artists Ivan Svitlichniy, the SVITER art group, Evgeniy Arlov, Ihor Sokolov and Georgy Potopalskiy. He has performed at media art festivals and exhibited at various cultural venues, including Kyiv Academy of Media Arts (UA) and DNIPROPOP Festival (UA). By 2021, the artist was working in cinema, gaining experience in film production and has worked on numerous creative projects. In 2020, he received a Master's degree from Kyiv National University of Film, Television and Theatre (Production Department). In 2018, he graduated from Kyiv Computer Academy "Step" (as a developer). Since 2021 Siabro has been a member of 'Photinus studio', a media art collective that has been active since 2012, participating in or facilitating international exhibitions and festivals: Venice Biennale, transmediale Vorspiel, Digital Cultures (Warsaw, Poland); music and light festivals - Strichka Festival, KievLightFest and many others.
