Elena Schwarz finished her acting studies at the university of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria in 2011. In 2010, she received an Award for the Most Talent Young Artists of the Federal Republic of Germany. During and after her studies, she worked as an actress at different theaters, for example at the Schauspielhaus Graz and the Wiener Lustspielhaus. Furthermore she participated in several short movies in front and behind the camera. After some stay abroads she turned towards her work as a filmmaker. 2014 she was co-founder of the artist collective “glashaus”, with whom she realizes theater- and film projects. In the same year, she was selected for the talentcampus for young filmmakers of the International Film Festival Innsbruck. Elena Schwarz lives near by Vienna where she work as a freelance filmmaker. Now and then she practice her work as an actress.
