Guillermo Villegas Alemán

born in Mexico in 1983, first studied percussion and composition at the Escuela Nacional de Música of UNAM in Mexico City. During his studies at this university, he participated in the LACREMUS (Laboratorio de Creación Musical) composition class led by composer Julio Estrada. From 2010 he studied composition with Pierluigi Billone and Gerd Kühr at the University of Arts Graz (KUG). In 2017, he began his computer science studies at the Graz University of Technology (TUG). Currently he is pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at the previously mentioned university and is working as a Software Developer.

Together with Juan Pablo Trad Hasbun, he founded the band NOS INCOGNITI in 2016. Since then, the trio has played in numerous festivals in Graz as well as Tonraum21, Impuls MinutenKonzerte, Interpenetration, Jazzwerkstatt Graz, among others. In November 2021 NOS INCOGNITI received the prize for the "PhonoECHOES Competition" of the Austrian Composers Association - ACCS with the work FIS.
