İsmail Eğler was born in Istanbul in 1983. After graduating from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 2003, he studied interactive media design at the Department of Art and Design of Yıldız Technical University in 2010. He then went to Graz to complete his master′s degree in Media Design at FH Joanneum in Graz. Eğler researches on time-based media and produces works based on narrative forms. He has held solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions in Turkey, Austraria, and Iran. In 2011, he attended a residency program in Medika, Zagreb. In the following year, he attended a residency program in the Sazmanab Space for Contemporary Art in Iran. Eğler currently lives and works in Graz and Istanbul.
