Justin Winkler, born in Basel (Switzerland) currently lives in Graz. Trained as a human geographer and musicologist, he is professor for human geography at Arts & Humanities of the University of Basel. He teaches at universities of Graz and Vienna, courses on topics such as mobile methods, everyday aesthetics, soundscape studies, time geography, urban transformation. He has acquired teaching experience at the universities of Basel, Fribourg, Kassel, Turku, Joensuu and Simon Fraser.
