Karin Fisslthaler was born in 1981 in Oberndorf, Salzburg (A). Currently she lives and works in Linz and Vienna. In 2008 she received the Talentförderungsprämie des Landes Oberösterreich for music. In 2009 she received the Startstipendium des bm:ukk for Videoand Media Art as well as the Arbeitsstipendium der Kunstuniversität Linz. In 2010 she received the Artist in Residence Stipendium “Urban Interventions” of the EU in Tallinn as well as the Jahresstipendium des SKE-Musikfonds. In 2011 she received the Preis des Landes Salzburg for electronic music “Elektronikland”. In 2012 she received a Auslandsatelier-Stipendium des bm:ukk in Krumau. In 2013 she received the Crossing Europe Creative Region Music Video Award. In 2014 she received once more a Auslandsstipendium des Landes Salzburg in Warschau. She participates in exhibitions in different departments and instituions in Austria.
