Lotta Stöver
works as an artist in the fields of media, technology, and research. She holds a BA + MA in Digital Media from the University of the Arts Bremen (Germany) and currently works as an artistic assistant and lecturer in the Interface Design / Media Art program at the Bauhaus University Weimar.
Stöver's work deals with phenomena and themes that influence, adapt, resist, transform, change, and mutate each other in interaction with (new) technologies. Through poetic engineering processes, digital imaging techniques, writing, and the embedding and embodiment of data and matter, her artifacts raise questions about (social) norms implied by natural and technological environments. Her works materialize in the social realm of technologies and lead to observations, queer alternatives, and subjective utopian proposals.
She is a founding member and co-editor of the techno-feminist publication series “href zine.”
