Seongmin Ji was born in Korea, Dec.07.1983. He studied Composition with Prof. Shinuh Lee at Seoul National University, where he earned Bachelor's degree. In 2011 he began his Master studies (composition, composition - musictheater) with Prof. Klaus Lang at University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz) in Austria. His music has been performed by numerous Ensembles and Orchestra such as Quki Ensemblée, Ensemble Schallfeld, Ensemble für Neue Musik, Busan Festival Orchestra. He was invited to the Music Festival "beschauung/ beschallung" in Austria (2013, 2014), IMPULS Academy 2015(Austria), 27th International Festival of Krakow Composers(2015, Poland) and Concert of Szene Instrumental (2015, Austria). His works were broadcasted on Radio (ORF Ö1-Zeit-ton extended, Radio Slovenija-ARS, Radio Helsinki). Also he was awarded Musik Prize of Graz City in furtherance of Music" ("Musikförderungspreis der Stadt Graz") in 2014.
