Stefan Doepner is born in 1966 at Bremen. He lives and works in Lubljana (Slovenia). He studied at Bremen painting and experimental filming and is since the middle of the 80s operating in the field of intermedial arts. Doepner is one of the founders of the “Instituts f18”. Since 1992 he is working at the documenta project “Van Gogh TV”. Since the middle of the 90s he concentrates on the field of robotic and art. For the festival of electronic arts Shift, 2009 in Basel, he presented his huge installation “Living Kitchen – Happy End of the 21^st Century”, which was shown before in several European cities and also in China.
