Born in Bordeaux, France in 1989, Thomas Mocaer is a recently graduated visual artist. After his graduation in 2012 from the Ecole Supérieure des Arts St Luc de Tournai, Belgium he started combining visual arts and travels through artist residency and solo exhibitions around Europe, starting in St-Petersburg, Russia, to Istanbul, Turkey, and Estonia, Tallinn and Tartu. His research focuses on the concept of memory, the mind fragmentation, the subjectivity of memory and the singularity of views. He is interested in the dialogue with the limits of the medium as well as the rigidity of the framework."
