Oribotics [inheritance]
Oribotics [inheritance] is an artistic excursion into the urban landscape
landscape, in which a fallen branch is used as a base for grafting
grafting on oribotic flowers. The three-petalled
oribotic device called Thysan-ori is the result of an ongoing
ongoing, multi-year study of parameterised rigid origami, electronics
origami, electronics development and materials experimentation. It is the
first oribotic species in which mutations inherit their structure from a genetic
inherit their structure from a genetic nuclear fold.
In this work we see three variants of the Thysan-ori species.
The work is based on Oribokit®, a democratised origami
