2024 - Steel, fishing weights, slate, wire
This machine is inspired by the action of rain: a mass of tiny elements fall, each
producing a micro-sound, generating complexity through the effects of mass and
accumulation.
Fragments of roofing slate are salvaged from a construction site and set into
vibration by small balls that fall one after another, forming a random melodic pattern
that loops continuously.
The work aims to encourage careful, attentive listening by creating a subtle
soundscape rich in detail.
