“You can never solve problems with the same mindset that created them.”
[Albert Einstein]

How do we respond to current crises and threats? What new spaces for thought are needed to develop visionary concepts of social coexistence?

Constantly questioning the familiar and the established are strategies of artistic practice. Media artists acquire extensive knowledge in the fields of humanity, nature, and technology.
They reflect on complex situations with nuance and intellectual openness; their works are characterized by creative experimentation. Beyond aesthetic and sensory perception, they give us the confidence that the future is open and malleable.

The exploration of how objects or new technologies take shape in the world, how they encounter people, and with what needs, interests, and habits people respond to them, makes media artists indispensable experts in the creation of (digital) transformations.

As Byung-Chul Han attests of art, it ventures into the unknown, into what does not yet exist. It sets out toward the new, the utterly different, the unprecedented.
