Mia Zabelka is an Austrian contemporary classical composer and sound artist as well as an amazing improvising violinist and vocalist. She has collaborated with a string of exiting artists including John Zorn, Peter Kowald, Phil Minton, Fred Frith, Josef Klammer, and David Moss. After completing her training with a very strong classical emphasis, she began to develop her own highly individual technique over a period of years, in which she succeeded in making her violin “sing” as a result of which she has become the focus of intense audience interest in all of her performances.
