Marc Teyssier

Marc Teyssier

Creative Technologist, from Interaction Designer to Research. Marc develops creative hardware and software experiences that bring technology closer to human nature. He leads the Resilient Futures research group at De Vinci Innovation Center, dedicated to creating simple sustainable technologies. In his research, he questions the relationship between technology and humans  through human-like devices. These devices are augmented with human qualities to help us investigate future interfaces where cold and static technologies are replaced with dynamic and  malleable interfaces. During his PhD, he explored this concept by developing interfaces for mediated communication through touch in human-computer interaction. This requires to  understand affective touch communication to design and develop meaningful new input and output interactions.Previously postdoctoral researcher at Saarland University and PhD student at Télécom Paris and HCI La Sorbonne.
