Hei Yuen Man

Hei Yuen Man (b. 2001, Hong Kong, China) is an artist, curator, and musician based between Hong Kong and Beijing. She holds a BFA from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and an MFA in Contemporary Art Curation from CAFA.

Her interdisciplinary practice explores relationships between sound, technology, social structures, and cultural histories, with a focus on postcolonial perspectives, alternative spaces, and non-human forms of perception. Through sound installations, spatial works, and curatorial projects, she investigates how bodies, environments, and systems of knowledge are shaped through processes of exchange, migration, and transformation.

Her recent works engage with fungal ecologies and mycelial networks as a way to explore relationships between human and more-than-human worlds. She is also the co-founder of NU-S3RVO, an experimental electronic music label focusing on contemporary sound practices in East Asia, where she develops projects around sound and cultural representation.
