The concept of Digital Humanism has gained international visibility, advocating for human-centered technology, ethical design, and democratic digital governance. But like all humanisms, it is not without its critiques. Is Digital Humanism still too Eurocentric? Too focused on individual rationality at the expense of collective values? How can it better account for environmental concerns, non-human agency, or perspectives beyond Western traditions?

This informal gathering invites researchers, artists, activists, and anyone in Graz interested in Digital Humanism—whether as an advocate, skeptic, or explorer—to join an open discussion. Together, we’ll explore key critiques and emerging alternatives, including post-humanist, regenerative, and decolonial perspectives on technology and society.

We will begin with short 5-minute impulses from our speakers, each offering their personal take on what Digital Humanism means to them and what critical questions they believe are worth discussing. This will be followed by an open get together and informal conversation among all participants.

Whether you're deeply engaged in Digital Humanism or just curious about its implications, we welcome you to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, and build new connections in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere.

No registration required—just drop by!

We look forward to an evening of stimulating conversations and new perspectives!
